In process of locating old friends from the Army, I unfortunately found this website and learned the news. I wished I'd tried to locate Dish earlier. He was my roommate in Hanau, Germany in 1987. He was the only guy who had his own computer at the time and he would let me play games on it. He had it all together and I used to seek his counsel on things. Man, what a great guy! I remember that he had gone to U of F and later on when I went to college in 2004, that's where I went. I don't know what else to say but that I miss you Dish and trust you are with our Father in heaven. I will see you again someday!

Happy Thanksgiving my wonderful husband. I love and miss you so much. I remember your delight for sauerkraut at this meal and your wonderful smile and warm hugs. Life is hard without you, but we are trying each day to carry on. You would be so proud of your baby boy, he is doing so well, but he misses his Daddy so much. We talk about you all the time and will never forget you. We love you... Louise and Michaelxxx

My wife and I were members of the Billy Mitchell Drill Team at the University of Florida with "Dish" in the (80's). He was a special person. We are deeply sorry for your loss. His honor to his family, his country. and his friends will never be forgotten.

You are thought of each and everday my love. You are always in my mind and heart. I love you and miss you, so much. Today I am reminded of the wonderful career you had and your selfless service to your country, without complaint, expectation or payback. A true definition of a hero, our hero, my own special hero. I love you, you are always with me and Michael and will be forever.xxxxxxxxxxxx

I found out about Dish's passing about a year ago. I first met and worked with Dish at SWC. He was very laid back guy, but could still get his point across to the students when needed. He was A great man whom I will dearly miss. God bless you Dish.

To a fellow U of F alum and vet, who shared my daughter's birthday. You were a gentle giant and such a great man. God needed you there and so many were left to miss you. Rest in peace.

Happy Birthday my love, I think of you everyday and miss you so much... I remember the way we used to celebrate your birthday on our cell phones, and to put it in your words, tee, hee, hee. I love you so much and miss you too. Michael sends a special birthday hug and kiss. We love you...

It has been a year and I still expect to see you come through the door or around a corner with that goofy smile and twinkle in your eye. I think of you every day. When we get together we always tell "Bob" stories, share memories, celebrate your life. You will be with me always.

It's so hard to believe that one year has already passed, as you said Lou, Michael will grow up to know what a kind, generous and honest person his father was and we were all extremely lucky to have been honored to have him in our lives......
thinking of you and Michael each and every day..........all my love Lou xoxoxo
