I recently heard of Bob's passing from Dennis Downey. Bob was a good friend, a great soldier, and is sorely missed. The photo gallery brought back many memories, and also up to date with Bob's life and family.

My very best wishes go out to his wife and loved ones. I feel lucky to have known such an genuinely honorable man like Bob.

I went to UF with Bob, he in Air Force ROTC, I in the Army. The one enduring trait I will always remember him for was his ability to look at any situation, no matter how daunting, and recognize the positive in it. He was unique in this way, as was his incredible sense of humor! We seem to make fewer men like Bob, when Lord knows we need more. He epitomized the ideal that a man should be smart, calm, kind, helping, and most of all, capable.
Ave Atque Vale, Bob! You were and are rare breed, one in a million, brother.
